BACKGROUND

Having grown up on a farm in a semi-urban location I love to be outside, I have two dogs and walk, run or cycle in the countryside as often as possible. I am passionate about food and my masters studies crossed the path of food production and sustainability. As a result, in my private life, I have become interested in the ‘slow food’ movement and have been actively involved in the resurrection of some of our native breeds – keeping pedigree Berkshire Pigs and Swaledale  Sheep.
